Picked By Guys is an editorial and advice website aimed at providing women with a catchy, creative, and witty male perspective on a wide range of issues. Tough questions about style, relationships and more are tackled in a no nonsense straight forward style. The goal of Picked By Guys is to empower women while providing entertaining content.
Picked By Guys is a project of Paddle House Media. Paddle House Media was founded by a young psychotherapist who became tired of the general negative and disempowering nature of the media at large. A panel of three guys from different backgrounds was created to contribute and create the advice and articles provided on Picked By Guys. We sincerely hope you enjoy the site and are entertained, empowered, and educated by our articles and advice.
So who are the guys?
Rene is a proud father to his 4 year old daughter and is a proud husband to his beautiful wife, yes beautiful. Rene has two brothers and two happily married parents. Rene graduated undergrad with a Bachelors degree in journalism and immediately was hired as a sportswriter for a successful paper. Shortly after, Rene switched gears and ventured into the real estate business where he has found tremendous success as a real estate and mortgage professional. Rene is very motivated, has a high work ethic and spends his spare time with his family.
Paul is a not your average local guy. He does have a way with the ladies, but definitely appreciates the finer aspects (brains, beauty, ethics) of his female companions. He is very close with his wonderful parents and siblings. After years of Environmental/Forestry based work following undergrad, he decided to follow another passion as a successful and talented electrician. Paul dislikes laziness in anyone, especially a mate and highly values honesty, trust and open communication.
Joel is an implant of the city of San Francisco. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Joel finds the Bay Area to be his home away from home. Joel lives with his awesome wife and spends most of his time either with her or playing music with his band. Besides that you can find him kicking back at the local nightspot, watching absurd amounts of Chappelle’s Show, or working on his next creative venture.
